UN PINTXO DELICIOSO {A GORGEOUS TAPA}

Okay, it´s possible that you´re not fond of garlic or mayonnaise, or yogurt or even jamón serrano (our wonderful Spanish serrano ham). Okay, in this case you´re not going to like this pintxo and that´s the only valid excuse.

The other day, my mom´s cousin Anamari, came with this pintxo. It´s very easy to make.

PINTXO DE ALI-OLI - ALI-OLI TAPA OR DIPPING

INGREDIENTS - FOR 4 PINTXOS
1 tbsp of *alioli (tinned, in a jar, homemade)
1 tbsp of mayonnaise (if it´s homemade better if not, use a tinned one)
1 tbsp of natural yogurt
4 slices of serrano ham
4 slices of whole grain bread or similar

PROCEDIMIENTO  - METHOD

Mix in a bol, the ali-oli, the mayonnaise and the yogurt.

Como he dicho antes, he usado todo de bote para trabajar lo mínimo, quiero ver cómo sale.
As I said before and without fear or shame, I´ve used everything from the supermarket.

The alioli and the mayonnaise.

El yogurt
The yogurt

And the serrano ham, it was really yummy. Here in the picture you can see how perfectly sweats at room temperature. You have to cut it in small pieces with scissors.

Y eso es todo. Mezclar y mezclar. Y obtendremos esto.
And that´s all, and mix and mix well. And we will get this.

And now, we can spread it over slices of bread or just use it as a dipping.

I also have some pictures taken the other day, while we were having dinner at my mom´s.

A mi hermana le gustaron mucho.
My sister liked them a lot.

And there wasn´t any left at my house yesterday either.

*Alioli (from all i oli, Catalan for "garlic and oil", is a typical paste-like cold sauce of Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Valencia. It is made by pounding garlic with olive oil and salt in a mortar until a smooth texture is obtained.

ALIOLI INGREDIENTS IN CASE YOU WANT IT HOME MADE
egg
2 cloves garlic, hearts removed

1 pinch sea salt
1 -2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 -2 cup sunflower oil ( olive oil makes the mayo a little bitter for my taste, the amount will depend)

Put the egg, garlic and salt in a food processor.
Turn on, and whisk until garlic is completely blended. I sometimes mash it first, even before adding it to the machine.
This is very important--Add the oil in a THIN steady stream, no thicker than spaghetti, especially at first.
Continue to add the oil in a steady stream until the mayo thickens.
Add the vinegar and process a couple of seconds more.

Note:If for some reason the mayo does not thicken (it happens), remove the mixture from the food processor to a spouted container, put another egg into the food processor and add the previous mixture in a thin, steady stream, and it will thicken.

¡LISTO!
DONE!
