PASTEL DE LAVANDA {LAVENDER CAKE}

On Tuesday,  I spent a very nice afternoon with some of my mates from Pilates. I think they had a great time too. We chatted, and for them I baked the cake I´m sharing today.

The base cake is very simple, the one made with a lemon yogurt, the one my children have done all the time. I call it "all in one", because you only have to mix all the ingredients and that´s it, it doesn´t have much work.

I´m going to customize this so simple cake and I´m going to add some lavender flowers that I´m growing in my terrace, okay, if my bees and bumblebee allow me to do so.

Ah, este olor me vuelve loca. ¡Me encanta!.

Oh God, this aroma drives me crazy, I love it!.

INGREDIENTES - Para quien sabe cuántas personas
3 huevos
Colorante alimenticio - 8 gotas azules y 8 gotas rojas
PARA EL GLASEADO
250g de azúcar glas
5 cucharadas de agua

INGREDIENTS - SERVES WHO KNOW HOW MANY
3 eggs
1 lemon yogurt
Now, with the glass of the yogurt we will weight the rest of the ingredients
3 glasses of all purpose flour
2 glasses of sugar
1/2 glass of olive oil
20g baking soda
Food colouring - 8 drops of blue and 8 drops of red
FOR THE ICING
250g icing sugar
5 tbsp water

PROCEDIMIENTO - METHOD
Precalentar el horno a 180º
Preheat the oven to 180º

Mix well all the ingredients in a food processor, or use electric whisk.

When all the ingredients are mixed up well, we then add the lavender flowers. Stir a bit with a wooden spoon. We will add the food colouring as well at this point.

Grease a plum cake type tin with butter and pour in the previous mixture. Bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer or a knife comes out clean.
Leave the cake inside the tin for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack until it´s completely cold. It has to be completely cold before we pour the icing over it.

HACER AHORA EL GLASEADO. LET´S MAKE THE ICING NOW

Put the sugar in a saucepan and add the tbsp of water. Remove until it forms a white past. Pour over the cake. Decorate.

Yes, it´s been a wonderful afternoon. The cake was wonderful. You can see the smll hones the flowers made there.
