ESTA TARDE TONTA DE DOMINGO {THIS SILLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON}

No es un secreto que todo lo relacionado con la papelería me vuelve loca. Desde el olor de los libros hasta los cuadernos, los papeles y sobres para escribir cartas y  los papeles para envolver los regalos.

It´s not a secret that everything related to paper and libraries makes me happy. From the scent of books to notebooks, writing paper and paper to wrap presents.

Aquí estoy, disfrutando la tarde de un domingo. Y no me gustan los domingos porque mañana es lunes.
Estoy haciendo el paquete de una amiga que cumple años la semana que viene. A mí me encanta envolver los regalos, es como una ceremonia. No lo puedo enseñar porque todavía ella no lo ha visto, pero siempre saco fotos cuando hago un paquete para alguien especial.

Here I am, enjoying this Sunday afternoon. And I don´t like Sundays basically because tomorrow is Monday.
I was thinking about how to wrap a friend´s present beautifully. Her birthday is going to be next week. I can´t show it to you because she hasn´t seen it yet, but I have some pictures of some presents I´ve given to special people.

Lo primero que pienso cuando envuelvo un regalo, es para quién. Si es hombre como el de arriba, los colores son claros, no hay mucho donde elegir. Si además cumple 50 años como ese caso la decoración del regalo es mucho más fácil. Solo hace falta unas tijeras y eso a mí me encanta.

First thing I think when I´m wrapping a present is WHO is the recipient. If it´s a man, colors are clear, there are not many to chose from. If besides, he becomes 50 as it was the case, the presentation is easier. You only need a pair of scissors and that´s easy for me because I love to cut anything.

Si a una de tus amigas, le gusta el color turquesa y si su flor favorita es la rosa amarilla, no hay que pensarlo mucho, la elección está clara.

If one of your friends is fond of turquoise color and her favourite flower is the yellow rose, you don´t have to think much either. The choice is clear.

Y si otra de tus amigas no quiere nada que no sea granate y beige, también es muy muy fácil.

And if another friend, just wants everything in two colors, beige and wine things are very  easy too.

Y si el último de tus sobrinos llega al mundo, las cajas para bebés son preciosas.

And if the last of your nephews has arrived into the world the boxes for babies are beautiful

Aquí sigo, pensando qué papel ponerle a ella para comprarlo mañana.

Here I am, thinking about what paper to buy tomorrow.

No muchas tiendas se preocupan de envolverte los regalos para una ocasión especial, te meten las cosas en una bolsa y listo. La única diferencia entre un paquete normal y uno de regalo es un lazo en el asa de la bolsa. Menos mal que hay otras que te preparan unos paquetes preciosos. Y de esas tiendas hemos aprendido.

Not many shops make the effort to wrap the presents properly when the special occasion requires it, they simply put the stuff in a bag and that´s it. The difference between the normal bag and a bag wrapped for a present is a lace in the bag.  Thank god, there are others that really take care of that and we learn from them.

A la gente le gusta recibir un regalo bien envuelto.

Aquí sigo, entre el regalo y el post de hoy. ¡Simplemente estaba pensando en voz alta!. Al final eso es lo que es, un pensamiento.

Most people love to receive well wrapped presents.

Well, here I was and here I am, between a present and today´s post. I was simply thinking out loud!. In the end, it is what it is, a thought.
